A support bandage provides support and stability to muscles and joints in the event of sprains, strains, bruises, and other injuries. It also promotes good blood circulation. The bandage can also be used to apply a compression bandage to a heavily bleeding wound.

What is this medicine used for? HeltiQ Support Bandage is ideal for applying a support or compression bandage for sprains, strains, and injuries to muscles and joints. It can also be used to apply extra pressure to deep wounds when a bandage isn't sufficient.
Directions for use Applying a support or pressure bandage for a bruise, sprain or strain 1. Wrap the support bandage as much as possible in an overlapping pattern around the affected area. Ensure that the wraps partially overlap. Ideally, pull the support bandage slightly tight, but not too tight. 2. Apply the final stroke all around. 3. Secure the support bandage ideally with a HeltiQ Adhesive Plaster.
Applying a pressure bandage to a heavily bleeding wound
1. Cover the heavily bleeding wound with a HeltiQ Gerold Quick Bandage. 2. Next, take the support bandage and wrap it as much as possible over the rolled quick bandage, overlapping the ends as closely as possible. Ensure the wraps partially overlap. Pull the support bandage slightly, but not too tight. 3. Secure the support bandage ideally with a HeltiQ Adhesive Plaster.

Warnings Don't apply the bandage too tightly, as this will constrict. You can recognize a bandage that is too tight by: - Discoloration of the protruding parts - Worsening of pain - Tingling or numbness in the protruding parts - Less able to move the protruding parts
