This thermometer is only suitable for measuring animal body temperature.
• The minimum measuring time until the signal sounds (beep) must always be observed.
• Protect the thermometer from damage caused by dropping or impact.
• Avoid ambient temperatures above 60 °C. Never boil the thermometer!
• Only use the common cleaning agents mentioned in the chapter «Cleaning and disinfection to clean the thermometer. The thermometer must be intact when
it is cleaned.

Usage
Measuring the body temperature of animals.

Instructions for use
To turn on the thermometer, press the button: a short signal (beep) indicates «thermometer on». A display test is performed. All options are shown. At an ambient temperature of less than 32 °C, «-- -» and a flashing «°C» are displayed in the upper right corner. The thermometer is now ready for use./ During a measurement, the measured temperature is constantly displayed. The «°C» flashes during this period. When the signal sounds (10 times «beep») and the «°C» no longer flashes, it means that the measured temperature increase is less than 0.1 °C per 8 seconds and that the thermometer can now be read. To save the battery, lightly press the off button to turn off the thermometer. Otherwise, the thermometer will turn itself off after approximately 10 minutes. If the button is held down for more than 3 seconds when the thermometer is switched on, the automatically stored maximum temperature of the last measurement will be displayed. At the same time, an «M» for memory will appear in the display field. Approximately 3 seconds after releasing the button, the temperature value disappears and the thermometer is ready to take a measurement. Measurement method In the anus (rectal) Gently insert the measuring sensor of the thermometer 2 to 3 cm into the anal opening. Measurement time approx.: 10 seconds. The thermometer is 100% waterproof and may be fully submerged in water or in disinfectant solutions. Afterwards, dry the thermometer with a damp cloth. Use one of the following disinfectant liquids for disinfection, according to the manufacturer's instructions for use. Isopropyl alcohol 70% - maximum 24 hours submersion Replacing the battery When the symbol «▼» (upside-down triangle) appears in the display field, the battery is empty and must be replaced. To replace the battery, the battery compartment cover of the thermometer must be removed. Insert a new battery with the + side up. Make sure you have a battery of the same type on hand.
