Elastomull Haft, self-adhesive, elastic fixation bandage; for fixing bandages, especially on curved and moving body parts.
A highly stretchy and skin-friendly white fixation bandage made of 40% cotton, 30% viscose, and 30% polyamide. The fixation bandage is impregnated with microdroplets of natural rubber latex, making it self-adhesive, but not to the skin or hair. The latex impregnation prevents the bandage from shifting, and a limited (1/3) overlap per winding is sufficient.
The weaving technique and use of polyamide make the bandage exceptionally stretchy (approximately 50% in length), allowing even complicated bandages to be applied quickly and easily. With normal use, thanks to its elastic properties, venous congestion does not occur, and freedom of movement is hardly restricted. To prevent venous congestion, the bandage should preferably not be applied under tension. It is therefore easier to unroll the bandage one turn at a time before securing it. Even after prolonged use, the elasticity does not diminish.
Thanks to the high cotton and viscose content and the wide mesh of the fabric, the bandage is very soft, comfortable, and skin-friendly. The open weave allows the skin to breathe freely.
The bandage can be sterilized in an autoclave or by gas.
