Advancis Actilite manuka non adh. viscose net bandage 5 x 5

Actilite is a lightweight viscose net dressing coated with antibacterial Manuka honey and Manuka oil. This wound dressing is designed to protect, promote healing, and allow exudate (wound fluid) to pass through. The antibacterial effect of Actilite is enhanced by combining concentrated Manuka oil with Manuka honey. This combination of Manuka honey and Manuka oil has been proven in vitro effective against several major wound-infecting organisms such as MRSA, VRE, and Providentia stuartii.
- Antibacterial, effectively kills harmful bacteria
- Anti-inflammatory
- Eliminates odor without masking
- Osmotic effect, draws harmful tissue away from the wound bed
- Creates a moist environment, ideal for wound healing

What is this medicine used for?
Actilite contains a combination of Manuka honey and Manuka oil and is best suited for granulating wounds or wounds with epithelial tissue. Actilite provides antibacterial protection while creating an ideal moist wound environment. Actilite can be applied to any wound but is particularly suitable for: cuts, ulcers, surgical wounds, burns, graft sites, and infected wounds.

Directions for use
Apply Actilite to the wound bed. The dressing can be placed side by side to cover large wound areas or cut to size with sharp scissors. Depending on the wound bed and the level of exudate (wound fluid), the secondary dressing can be a wound film or a bandage. Actilite can also be applied under Negative Pressure Therapy (NPT) or as a primary layer to reduce the bacterial burden. Actilite is a lightweight, non-adherent, non-sticky dressing ideal for infection prevention.

Contraindications
Although honey is not absorbed into the bloodstream, we recommend monitoring glucose levels in diabetic patients. Do not use if the patient is allergic to bee venom. Some discomfort may occur when applying honey. This depends on the sensitivity of the wound and can be relieved with the appropriate level of analgesia. The initial discomfort generally subsides on its own. If discomfort persists, discontinue the use of honey and rinse the wound with saline solution.

Ingredients
Viscose netting coated with 99% Manuka honey and 1% Manuka oil

Storage advice
Store at room temperature. Due to the properties of honey, it may solidify in the cold and become more fluid in the warm. If the product has hardened, warm the bandage between your hands just before use. If the bandage is too fluid, refrigerate it for a few minutes. The product is sterile packaged.
