Zovirax Duo contains two active ingredients: aciclovir and hydrocortisone. Aciclovir is an antiviral agent.

What is this medicine used for?
This medicine is used to treat the early signs and symptoms (e.g. tingling, itching or redness) of cold sores on the lips and the skin around the lips, to reduce the chance of a cold sore developing into an ulcer in adults and adolescents (12 years of age and over).

Do not use in
- You are allergic to any of the ingredients of this medicine.
- You have a skin infection other than a cold sore.

Other information
Consult your doctor:
#All babies with a cold sore.
#People whose spots have not disappeared after 14 days.
#People where the inflammation is spreading or if pus is coming from the blisters.
#People who also have blisters on other parts of the body.
#People with a reduced immune system or with eczema.

Do not use in case of:
#Do not use in the eyes, in the mouth, in the nose or on the genitals.
#Do not use if you have a poor or weakened immune system.
#Do not use in conjunction with bandages or cold sore plasters.
#Do not use in children under 12 years of age.

Use for:

Active ingredients
One gram of cream contains 50 mg aciclovir
and 10 mg hydrocortisone.

Excipients
liquid paraffin, propylene glycol, isopropyl myristate,
sodium laurilsulfate, cetostearyl alcohol, white soft paraffin, poloxamer 188, citric acid
monohydrate, sodium hydroxide, hydrochloric acid and purified water.

Dosage
Adults and children over 12 years old
Apply the cream five times a day for 5 days (i.e. approximately every 3-4 hours during the day).
It is recommended to start treatment as soon as possible after the first signs or symptoms appear.

Maximum dosage
5x per 24 hours

Directions for use
