The resin benzoin has a soothing and warming effect and smells very pleasant.
The mandarin is soothing.
The vanilla is added for the scent and has no further therapeutic value.
A drop of aniseed has also been added for the fragrance combination.

Safety regulations
With the exception of tea tree and lavender, essential oils should not be applied undiluted to the skin. If an essential oil accidentally gets into your eyes or causes irritation, immediately apply a fatty plant oil to the affected area.
