Volatile Plant Oil Gingerbread Plum
Gingerbread plum oil (Gingerbread plum oil or cayor apple) (parinari macrophylla)
A small, bushy evergreen tree up to 10 meters tall. It grows along the coast from Liberia to Senegal. The oil is extracted from the fruit. In Ghana, the wood is used to make canoes.
Contains oleic acid approx. 40%, stearic acid approx. 30%, linoleic acid approx. 15% and palmitic acid approx. 12%
Also rich in magnesium, potassium, and calcium. The oil is widely used for frying. It is an excellent dry oil. Some people blend it with another oil and use it as a natural perfume. It is also used as a heart note in some expensive perfumes. It is soothing for sensitive and irritated skin.
- Contains no dyes, artificial fragrances and is not tested on animals.
