Volatile Castor oil
Castor oil is extracted from the fruit of the castor oil plant (also called Ricinus Communis), which is also known as the "castor bean." However, the castor oil plant is not actually a legume (Leguminosae), and therefore not an "official bean." The castor oil plant owes its name to its incredible growth rate. The castor oil plant originates from East Africa, India, and the southeastern Mediterranean. During the slave trade, it reached the Caribbean, where it now grows throughout the tropics.

Castor oil, or miracle oil, has been used for centuries. It was already used by the Egyptians, for example, around 4,000 BC. We know this because it has been found in various tombs. The ancient Greeks also seem to have been familiar with castor oil. It had many uses, including medicinal ones, but today we use castor oil for fuller, stronger hair and smoother skin. It is used pure or in combination with other natural oils.
Because castor oil has both cleansing and conditioning properties, it's often used for dry skin. It also clears pores of bacteria, leaving skin looking smooth. Castor oil supports the skin's regenerative capacity. Because its molecules are small, the oil can easily penetrate the deeper layers of the skin.
Castor oil contains essential Omega 9 fatty acids. This makes brittle or dry hair look healthy and shiny again.
