Volatile Bergamot bio The oil is obtained by pressing the outermost parts of the citrus peel of the bergamot tree. It first appeared in Bergamo, a city in Italy. It is now also extracted in Africa and Asia. It is rich in limonene, linaloocysts, and relaxing esters such as linalyl acetate, and coumarins like bergaptene. Its color is light to dark green. It has a spicy, citrusy scent with a bite, reminiscent of Eau de Cologne. The botanical name is Citrus aurantium var. Bergamia.
This oil is organically grown and therefore no artificial fertilizers or chemicals are used during cultivation and during the processing after harvest.
