Our dried cranberries are sweetened with cane sugar and originate from Canada. The reason our cranberries are sweetened with cane sugar is to compensate for the sour taste of the cranberry fruit. The natural acidity in cranberries is so high that they can oxidize quickly; adding cane sugar slows down this process.
