Vitals Vitamin E-8Vitamin E-8 is unique in its kind and consists, as the name suggests, of all 8 forms of vitamin E (tocopherols and tocotrienols), with the SupraBio® system ensuring increased absorbability and bioavailability. A complete, balanced vitamin E complex of superior quality. During the development of this product, many raw materials were discarded because they did not meet the high quality requirements. For this product, Nutrabiol T50™ (tocopherols) and EVNol SupraBio™ (tocotrienols) were chosen. These raw materials are guaranteed to meet the highest standards in terms of purity and quality.
Tocopherols and Tocotrienols
Vitamin E is an essential, fat-soluble nutrient consisting of a family of four tocopherols (alpha, beta, gamma, delta) and four tocotrienols (alpha, beta, gamma, delta). Tocotrienols differ from tocopherols in that the former have unsaturated side chains with three double bonds. Tocopherols have saturated side chains without double bonds. In food, vitamin E occurs in all eight of these forms. However, in food supplements, only alpha-tocopherol is usually used. There is increasing evidence that the other forms of vitamin E also play an important role in maintaining good health and have a synergistic effect with each other. This unique vitamin E complex was therefore developed based on the latest scientific insights.
Absorbability and Scientific Basis
One of the problems, especially with vitamin E in the form of tocotrienols, is the poor absorbability of these nutrients. Taking a vitamin E supplement with a fatty meal already slightly improves absorption, but not enough for the tocotrienols to actually reach the cells and tissues where they have a function. ExcelVite, the producer of the tocotrienols in this vitamin E complex, has succeeded after years of research in developing a unique and patented 'self-emulsifying delivery system', the SupraBio® system. This system ensures that fat-soluble nutrients such as tocopherols and tocotrienols spontaneously form an emulsion in the gastrointestinal tract. Emulsification leads to the reduction in size of fat globules, resulting in better and more efficient absorption. For tocotrienols, the application of this system even leads to a 250% increase in absorbability. But the tocopherols (Nutrabiol T50™) in this product also benefit from the SupraBio system. Vitamin E-8 can therefore truly be called a vitamin E complex with improved absorbability. Furthermore, EVNolSupraBio™, when it comes to tocotrienols, is by far the most scientifically substantiated, with multiple human studies.
Natural versus Synthetic Vitamin E
Synthetic forms of vitamin E (including dl-alpha-tocopherol, or all-rac-alpha-tocopherol) are also sometimes used in food supplements, but these are less effective than the natural forms. It is therefore important to choose a food supplement containing only natural forms of vitamin E, recognizable by the prefix 'd-' (as in d-alpha-tocopherol) or 'RRR-' (as in RRR-alpha-tocopherol). Vitamin E-8 contains exclusively natural forms of vitamin E.
Function
The main function of vitamin E in the body is to help protect cells and tissues from oxidative damage. People today are exposed to many undesirable external influences (such as excessive UV radiation from sunlight and environmental pollution). The cells' immune system therefore needs some support. Vitamin E contributes to the maintenance of healthy cells and tissues by scavenging free radicals.

Ingredients
Natural mixed tocotrienols, natural mixed tocopherols, natural alpha-tocopherol, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (vegetable capsule).
Usage
Take 1 capsule daily with a (fat-containing) meal with water. A vitamin E supplement is preferably used in combination with a vitamin C supplement. Vitamin C regenerates vitamin E already used by the body and restores it to its active form. In this way, it supports the action of vitamin E.
