Vitals' Ultimate Fibre Blend is a unique mix of four plant-based fibres with strong scientific backing. First, it contains a fine Dutch innovation called Benicaros®. This consists of a fibre from carrots with a unique structure. In addition, Sunfiber® has naturally been added, the now well-known and much-loved guar bean fibres with their own unique benefits. The mix is supplemented with Inavea™, a combination of soluble fibres from the gum of the acacia tree and the fruit of the baobab, two African trees with rich nutritional value. Dietary fibre: an essential part of our diet
A typical Western diet is known to be relatively low in fibre. Dietary fibres are carbohydrates indigestible by humans, which cannot be broken down by digestive enzymes in the small intestine. Instead, they are (partially) fermented ('eaten' and converted) by bacteria in the large intestine. It is, as it were, food for these indispensable microorganisms. A sufficiently ample intake of these fermentable fibres is therefore important.
Dietary fibre is naturally found in vegetables, fruit, whole grains, and legumes, among other things. Dietary guidelines recommend 30 or even 40 grams of fibre per day. Unfortunately, the average fibre intake among adults is only about 20 grams per day. There is certainly room for improvement there. One way to increase fibre intake is to use a fibre supplement as an addition to a healthy and varied diet. Benicaros®: innovative and upcycled fibre from carrot pulp
Benicaros® is an innovative ingredient consisting of a special carrot fibre called rhamnogalacturonan-I (RG-I). The Dutch company NutriLeads has developed a patented production process that allows this fibre to be released from the cell walls of carrots. Carrot pulp, which is a by-product of the production of European carrot juice, is used as a raw material. This makes Benicaros® a sustainable product. In cooperation with Wageningen University and Amsterdam UMC, several studies have been conducted confirming the benefits of this so-called precision fibre.
Inavea™ baobab and acacia fibre: stronger together
Acacia gum (also called gum arabic) is secreted by the bark of the Acacia seyal tree. It is similar to a resin, except that a gum is water-soluble and edible, unlike a resin. Acacia gum is naturally very rich in dietary fibre and suitable for various applications in food. Manufacturer Nexira is the absolute expert in acacia gum, with decades of experience in its cultivation, harvesting, and processing. The entire production chain is managed in-house, offering many advantages. The company places great importance on sustainability and social responsibility. No pesticides are used in growing the trees. The harvesting and processing of the gum also takes place in a sustainable manner.
The acacia fibres in Ultimate Fibre Blend are mixed by Nexira with baobab fibres. The fruit of the famous African baobab (also called 'tree of life') is also a rich source of dietary fibre. These two types of fibre complement each other perfectly. This ensures that a smaller amount is sufficient than if the two fibres were used separately.
Sunfiber®: proven fibre from guar beans
The guar plant (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba) is grown in several parts of India, even in places with great drought. The beans and leaves of this plant have been part of the Indian diet for thousands of years. Guar beans are a rich source of soluble fermentable fibre. Sunfiber® is the brand name of guar bean fibres that acquire their superior user-friendly properties, such as excellent water solubility, through a natural fermentation process. Guar bean fibre is one of the most widely used types of fibre in scientific research. It should therefore not be missing from this Ultimate Fibre Blend.

Ingredients
Fermented guar bean fibre (from Indian guar beans, Cyamopsis tetragonoloba, seed), baobab fibre (from Adansonia digitata, fruit), acacia fibre (from Acacia seyal, gum), carrot fibre (from Daucus carota subsp. sativus, root), maltodextrin.
Usage
Take 1 level scoop (10.85 grams) daily with a meal. Mix with water (approx. 200 ml) or another liquid. The fibres can also be added to (hot or cold) food. Adhere to the recommended dosage. A scoop is included. Note: Do not take simultaneously with medication. Maintain a minimum of 1-2 hours between taking medication and fibres.
