Microbiol Intiem is an oral probiotic specifically designed for women. It combines the well-known strains Lactobacillus rhamnosus, GR-1, and Lactobacillus reuteri, RC-14, creating a superior duo. These strains originate from the female distal urethra (the furthest part of the cylindrical cavity that connects the bladder to the outside of the body). Microbiol Intiem contains 5 billion cfu (colony forming units, i.e., the number of viable bacteria capable of multiplying and forming a colony).
Producer Chr. Hansen
Chr. Hansen is the producer of these bacterial strains and has been responsible for the extensive research on these specific strains, in the combination in which they are now offered. This is quite unique and very important! One bacterial strain (indicated by a suffix like GR-1) is not the same as another, even if they belong to the same genus (in this case, Lactobacillus) and the same species (Lactobacillus rhamnosus). Therefore, strain-specific research is particularly valuable.
Scientific research
There are over 160 scientific publications on the combination of the strains Lactobacillus rhamnosus, GR-1, and Lactobacillus reuteri, RC-14, including more than 50 human studies. This makes it the most thoroughly researched combination of Lactobacillus strains in the world.
Quality and viability
Chr. Hansen's advanced manufacturing process ensures that the capsules have a long shelf life in their sealed packaging outside the refrigerator. After opening, it is recommended to store the packaging in the refrigerator. During use, when the cap is constantly unscrewed, moisture and air are released into the product. To maintain optimal stability during use, it is recommended to store it refrigerated from that point onward. Unopened, the product can be stored at room temperature.
