What are fibers?
Dietary fiber is a long chain of carbohydrates, consisting of 10 or more carbohydrate building blocks (monosaccharides), that cannot be broken down by digestive enzymes in the human small intestine. Dietary fiber is an important part of a varied and balanced diet. Fiber can be divided into two categories: water-soluble and insoluble. Examples of water-soluble fibers are guar bean fiber (also called galactomannan), inulin (FOS), and psyllium husk. Insoluble fibers include wheat bran and fiber from other (whole) grains. Water-soluble fibers are also called prebiotics because they can be fermented by intestinal flora. The more soluble a fiber is, the better it is fermented. Fermentation by intestinal flora produces metabolites such as short-chain fatty acids (including butyrate, propionate, acetate). However, it is important that this fermentation process does not take place too quickly, otherwise this can cause gas formation.
Sunfiber® from Taiyo
Sunfiber® has the ideal properties of excellent water solubility and a gradual, yet complete, fermentation. This makes the product very user-friendly, compared to, for example, psyllium fiber, which is considerably less soluble in water, and inulin, which ferments very quickly. However, the carbohydrate chains must not become too short, otherwise they will be fermented too quickly in the intestines. Taiyo's unique production process ensures optimal chain length and gives Sunfiber® its ideal properties. Moreover, Sunfiber® guar bean fiber is made entirely from cultivated guar beans.

Ingredients Fermented guar bean fiber (from Indian guar beans, Cyamopsis tetragonoloba).
Usage Take 1-2 level scoops (5-10 grams) daily with a meal. Mix with water (approx. 200 ml) or another liquid. Let the drink sit for a few moments to allow the fiber to fully dissolve. The fiber can also be added to food (such as yogurt), even to hot foods. Follow the recommended dosage.
A measuring scoop of 15 ml (= approx. 5 grams) is included.
