Vitals Cholesterol Formula Pro contains a selection of three unique, extensively researched plant extracts. Two of these are of Mediterranean origin. Around the Mediterranean, the sun shines frequently, resulting in an abundant harvest of citrus fruits and olives, among other things, rich in important nutrients (so-called polyphenols, a large group of plant compounds with a similar molecular structure). Olives and olive oil are widely known for their health benefits. Berberine is a nutrient extracted from the Berberis aristata plant.

Blood lipids
Blood lipids are the fats transported in the blood to their target tissues. They consist primarily of cholesterol and triglycerides. The term "cholesterol" comes from the Greek cholè, meaning "bile," and stereos, meaning "solid." Cholesterol is indeed one of the building blocks of bile, but it is also crucial for the formation of cell membranes, various hormones, and vitamin D. Triglycerides play a role in energy production within the cell and form a protective lipid layer around organs. The blood levels of all these blood lipids are strictly regulated to ensure they do not become too high or too low.

People often talk about "good" and "bad" cholesterol. However, this doesn't refer to cholesterol itself (because it only has one form), but to the transport particle (lipoprotein) in which cholesterol is transported. Blood lipids are inherently insoluble in an aqueous substance like blood. Therefore, a transport particle is needed to transport these substances. The exterior of a lipoprotein consists of a shell of water-soluble proteins (apolipoproteins) and phospholipids. The cholesterol and triglycerides are contained within the globule. The most well-known lipoproteins are high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol. Fat metabolism is an extremely complex subject, but simply put, LDL cholesterol is responsible for the transport of cholesterol, primarily from the liver to the body's cells, and HDL cholesterol is responsible for the reverse transport of cholesterol from the body's cells back to the liver. Maintaining healthy blood lipid levels is crucial for good health. There are many ways to maintain healthy cholesterol levels. Berberine
In recent years, berberine has been receiving increasing attention. This nutrient is found in various plants, including Berberis aristata, also known as Indian barberry or tree turmeric. Bergamot extract
The bergamot tree (Citrus bergamia Risso & Poiteau) grows primarily in Calabria, the southern Italian region at the tip of the Italian boot. Bergamot oil is extracted from the peel of the fruit, which is used, among other things, as a characteristic aroma in the world-famous Earl Grey tea. The fruit itself contains an exceptionally high level of polyphenols with a unique composition. The bergamot extract, branded BPF™ (Bergamot Polyphenolic Fraction®), lovingly crafted by the southern Italian company H&AD, consists of an impressive 38% polyphenols (neoeriocitrin, naringin, neohesperidin, melitidine, brutieridin). H&AD is considered one of the experts in natural products based on the bergamot fruit. BPF™ is produced by them using a specially developed and patented extraction method. Bergamot extract is a nice complement to the other polyphenols (berberine and hydroxytyrosol) in Cholesterol Formula Pro.

Hydroxytyrosol (Olive Extract)
Hydroxytyrosol is one of the most important components in olives. It is formed from the precursor oleuropein, which is increasingly converted into hydroxytyrosol as the olives ripen. Hytolive® olive extract from Genosa contains a high level of hydroxytyrosol and is naturally produced from olives grown in Spain, the world's largest producer of olives and olive oil.
