Vitakruid Zinc Methionine & Copper Gluconate Zinc and copper in their most bioavailable forms
Zinc methionine is the only form of zinc that doesn't bind to phytate, oxalate, or tannins. Binding to any of these antinutrients significantly reduces absorption. Vitakruid has also added copper gluconate to this formula. Copper gluconate is the bioavailable copper salt of D-gluconic acid and the most readily absorbable form of copper available.
Copper attached to guarantee balance
The title might suggest something like this, but in addition to zinc, we've also included copper in the Zinc-Methionine & Copper formula. Balance is the key to the effectiveness of our mineral balance. Like a scale, the various elements in our bodies are constantly weighed. The minerals we know have various relationships with each other. For example, zinc and copper have a so-called synergistic effect. This means that the elements have both a stimulating and inhibitory effect on each other. It's therefore important to always supplement with the synergistic elements together to prevent imbalances.
Zinc is called the most important trace element
Zinc may well be the most important trace element for our human body. The entire body contains approximately two to three grams of zinc, the majority of which is found in the large muscles. This essential trace element is quickly depleted here, meaning zinc reserves must be adequately replenished. Consuming zinc-rich foods daily is therefore the recommended approach, and we massively ignore this seemingly simple advice. This isn't intentional; agricultural development in recent decades has simply resulted in our fruits and vegetables containing a staggering 60% fewer vitamins and minerals than 20 years ago. Furthermore, vegetarians and vegans are at risk for insufficient zinc levels. Plant-based zinc is poorly absorbed by the body compared to animal-based zinc sources. Zinc supplementation is therefore recommended for a larger group than you might initially assume.
