Vitakruid Vitamin C 1000 with Bioflavonoids & RosehipAscorbic acid is the form of vitamin C found in fruits and vegetables
Ascorbic acid is by far the best-known form of vitamin C. It is also the variant that occurs naturally in our diet. Oranges, broccoli, and apples; the vitamin C in these foods is all categorized as ascorbic acid. The often-heard argument that ascorbic acid is not a good form of vitamin C is therefore somewhat misplaced. Ascorbic acid from supplements has exactly the same bioavailability and absorbability as the vitamin C from the piece of fruit you eat daily!
Citrus bioflavonoids for better vitamin C absorption
Bioflavonoids are plant-based nutrients also known as vitamin P. Citrus bioflavonoids are found, among other things, in the soft white part under the peel of citrus fruits. Unfortunately, during cooking, 70 to as much as 90 percent of vitamin P disappears from our food. Therefore, supplementation is far from a superfluous luxury.
Research also shows that vitamin P ensures 35 percent better absorption of vitamin C. Citrus bioflavonoids also ensure slower absorption of ascorbic acid and reduced excretion via urine. Better absorption and higher bioavailability were the pillars for adding vitamin P to this ascorbic acid supplement!
Rosehip extract
Rosehip is the fruit of our well-known flower of love: the rose. The antioxidant itself already contains vitamin C, for this extract, this amounts to as much as 45 percent. But that is not the reason we added a rosehip extract. The plant from which the rose comes is much more than just a symbol of love!
User-friendly due to tablet form
Furthermore, we offer Vitamin C 1000 mg in tablet form. The majority of people consider supplementation in tablet form to be user-friendly; hassle with water, stirring, and mixing is not an issue. So, if your preference is for supplementation in tablet form, then Vitamin C 1000 is an excellent choice!
