Do you eat fatty fish at least twice a week? Research shows that most Dutch people do not come close to this. This is concerning, as our bodies cannot produce the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA themselves. That is why we call these fatty acids essential.
Fish Oil 1400 TG with D3 capsules contain a high dosage of no less than 560 mg EPA and 420 mg DHA from 1,120 mg omega-3. This amounts to an exceptionally high concentration of more than 80% active ingredient!
High omega-3 concentration of >80%
This high concentration of more than 80 percent omega-3 fatty acids is not self-evident. In a natural triglyceride-based fish oil concentrate, this ratio is usually only 26-57 percent. This is because the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA are bound to other fatty acids at a molecular level. Because we strive for a higher omega-3 content, we separate EPA and DHA from the other fatty acids using a careful extraction process. Only this way can we achieve as much as 80% omega-3 per softgel!
Natural and best absorbable triglyceride form
When developing omega-3 supplements, we must separate the active ingredients EPA and DHA from the other fatty acids. This can be done in two ways.
The first is the easiest and cheapest, but the so-called ethyl esters formed by this extraction process are also less absorbable. For the absorption of this omega-3, our body still needs the substance glycerol. However, if this nutrient is not present in sufficient quantities in your system, your body will not absorb the omega-3 efficiently.
During the second (high-quality) process, the substances are returned to their original molecular structure, i.e., triglycerides. This is the natural form of omega-3 with the highest bioavailability. This means that our body absorbs this form best, without the need for auxiliary substances. That is why Fish Oil 1400 TG with D3 exclusively contains triglycerides.
25 mcg (1000 IU) vitamin D3 in natural form
In addition to this highly dosed formula, a substantial 25 mcg of vitamin D3 has been added. Most people using Fish Oil 1400 TG with D3 therefore do not need to take extra vitamin D.
Moreover, the sunshine vitamin works well with omega-3. Vitamin D, like vitamin E, is an antioxidant that prevents oil oxidation. When oil oxidizes, it not only becomes rancid, but its quality also deteriorates. This often leads to fishy burps, where you essentially "burp up" the oil. This is not the case with Fish Oil 1400 TG with D3!
Sustainably sourced from non-endangered fish species
The oil in this supplement is sourced from 100% anchovies, a non-endangered fish species. This is in contrast to mackerel, cod, and brook trout, among others, which often serve as the basis for fish oil supplements. These species are on the most recent red list of endangered species and are therefore far from sustainable options.

In addition, anchovies naturally have a short lifespan, and the supplier Golden Omega catches them in their natural habitat, off the coast of Chile. These are the most fish-rich waters worldwide.
