Do you eat oily fish at least twice a week? Research shows that most Dutch people don't even come close to that. This is worrying, because our bodies can't produce the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA on their own. That's why we call these fatty acids essential.
Fish oil 1400 TG with D3 capsules contain a high dose of 560 mg EPA and 420 mg DHA from 1,120 mg omega-3. This amounts to an exceptionally high concentration of more than 80% active ingredient!
High omega 3 concentration of >80%
This high concentration of over 80 percent omega-3 fatty acids isn't a given, however. In a natural fish oil concentrate based on triglycerides, this ratio is usually only 26-57 percent. This is because the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA are bound to other fatty acids at the molecular level. Because we strive for a higher omega-3 content, we separate EPA and DHA from the other fatty acids through a careful extraction process. This is the only way we can achieve an impressive 80% omega-3 content per softgel!
Natural and best absorbable triglyceride form
When developing omega-3 supplements, we need to separate the active ingredients EPA and DHA from the other fatty acids. This can be done in two ways.
The first is the easiest and cheapest, but the so-called ethyl esters formed during this extraction process are also less absorbable. Our bodies still need glycerol to absorb this omega-3. However, if this nutrient isn't present in sufficient quantities, your body won't absorb the omega-3 efficiently.
During the second (high-quality) process, the substances are returned to their original molecular structure, known as triglycerides. This is the natural form of omega-3 with the highest bioavailability. This means our bodies absorb this form best, without the need for additives. 25 mcg (1000) IU vitamin D3 in natural form
To complement this high-dose formula, we've added a generous 25 mcg of vitamin D3. Most people who use Fish Oil 1400 TG with D3 no longer need to take a vitamin D supplement.
Moreover, the sun vitamin works well with omega-3. Vitamin D, like vitamin E, is an antioxidant that prevents oil oxidation. When oil oxidizes, it not only becomes rancid but also deteriorates in quality. This often causes fishy burping, where you essentially burp up the oil.
