Vitamins and minerals from food
To obtain all essential nutrients, it is crucial to follow a healthy and balanced diet. Consume a variety of vegetables, fruits, fish, meat, dairy, legumes, nuts, seeds, and kernels to get all your vitamins and minerals. Older adults have a higher need for certain nutrients, such as vitamin B12, choline, and protein. Adding eggs to your diet can contribute in this regard. A multivitamin can serve as a supplement to your diet, but should never be a substitute.

After all the day's activities, you want to relax and sleep during the night. The Multi Night Woman 50+ is specially formulated for this. Above 50, you benefit from different nutrients than in your younger years. The night formula includes a generous dose of vitamin D.

Vitamin D & K
Vitamin D & K should not be missing in the Multi Night Woman 50+. The Health Council recommends that seniors use extra vitamin D. For people over 50, a daily intake of 10 mcg is recommended, and for people over 70, this is 20 mcg per day.

Vita-algae D®: plant-based and well-absorbed
This important vitamin comes in two forms – D2 and D3 – with the latter being best absorbed by the body. Vita-algae D® comes from algae and is therefore a plant-based form of vitamin D3. The night formula contains a generous dose of 25 mcg, so outside the winter months, it is often not necessary to take an extra vitamin D supplement.

Red Algae with high calcium content
Red algae (lithothamnium calcareum) is a calcareous algae aptly called "chalk weed" in English. These algae have a unique structure that allows them to absorb minerals from seawater. In addition to a significant amount of calcium, red algae also contain other valuable minerals such as magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, and iron.

Aquamin®: sustainable red algae
Aquamin® is a red algae harvested from the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Ireland and Iceland. These waters are clear, free from pollution, and exceptionally rich in minerals. Aquamin® is harvested in an exclusively sustainable manner, using GPS technology. In 2016, Aquamin® won the Ingredient of the Year Award in the Healthy Ageing category.

NAC, a precursor to glutathione
Glutathione is synthesized by the body from the amino acids cysteine, glutamine, and glycine. Of these three amino acids, cysteine can sometimes be difficult to obtain through diet. N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) provides the body with cysteine and can therefore be considered a precursor to glutathione.

Zeaxanthin and lutein
Zeaxanthin and lutein belong to the carotenoids, natural pigments present in various plants and foods. These pigments fall under the xanthophylls, which cause the yellow to orange hue of numerous fruits and vegetables. Algae also produce zeaxanthin and lutein as protection against intense sunlight.
