Vitakruid Magnesium Taurate with Vitamin B6 (P-5-P)Benefits of Magnesium Taurate for you at a glance:
- The organically bound form Magnesium Taurate
- Magnesium bound to l-taurine
- High absorption of elemental magnesium
- Vitamin B6 in the safe and bioavailable form pyridoxal-5-phosphate
Organically bound
Magnesium taurate is a bioavailable and organically bound form of magnesium. Inorganic magnesium forms such as magnesium chloride, magnesium hydroxide and magnesium sulfate are less bioavailable and are therefore less well absorbed. For example, magnesium sulfate has a bioavailability of only 4%. This means that a dose of 200 mg of magnesium sulfate is only effective for a mere 8 mg. The best forms we know are magnesium chelates such as magnesium taurate, magnesium malate, and magnesium bisglycinate. Your daily diet generally contains inorganically bound magnesium. These are the forms found in the soil and absorbed by the plants you eat daily. Examples include magnesium oxide and magnesium carbonate. So your body absorbs only a small part of the magnesium you get from regular food. Vitakruid Magnesium Taurate is therefore an added value within your diet!
L-taurine
Magnesium taurate is a combination of the amino acid taurine and magnesium. In this combination, magnesium and taurine have a synergistic effect, which means this form of magnesium is very well absorbed. The absorption of l-taurine occurs via the amino acid transport system in the small intestine. Due to this active transport system, the bound magnesium quickly enters the bloodstream, where it is transported to the rest of your body. This allows you to experience the optimal effect of magnesium!
Elemental magnesium
The elemental amount of a mineral should always be stated on a label. The molecular compound of magnesium taurate contains 8% elemental magnesium. This may seem small, but an elemental amount of magnesium of 60 mg from 750 mg of magnesium taurate can be considered equivalent to approximately 400 mg of elemental magnesium bound to citrate. After all, the absorbability of magnesium bound to l-taurine is many times greater!
Pyridoxal-5-phosphate
Vitamin B6 has many scientifically substantiated health-promoting effects for the body. Pyridoxal-5-phosphate (the biologically active, co-enzymatic form of vitamin B6) has better bioavailability and is safer than pyridoxine. Vitakruid exclusively uses the P-5-P form in its products.
