Vitakruid Magnesium junior Magnesium in food
Dietary supplements are intended to complement a balanced diet. A wide variety of foods contain the essential mineral magnesium. Besides nuts, seeds, and kernels, spinach, avocados, bananas, and raw cacao are also rich sources of this mineral.
Growing children
Children are still growing, and getting the right vitamins and minerals is essential. A good start to supporting a healthy lifestyle is, for example, Multi Day & Night Junior®, which contains all the necessary vitamins, minerals, and omegas for your growing child.
Magnesium takes up a lot of space, so only a small amount is found in a multivitamin. Therefore, supplementing with magnesium can be a good addition to a multivitamin. That's why we've created a magnesium supplement specifically for children.
Magnesium with good absorption
The body best absorbs organic forms of magnesium such as taurate, bisglycinate, and malate. In our daily diet, we mainly find so-called inorganically bound magnesium, which is less bioavailable to the body, such as magnesium chloride, magnesium hydroxide, and magnesium sulfate.
Strong connection
Taurate, bisglycinate, and malate are the organic forms of magnesium with the highest bioavailability. These are the so-called amino acid chelated forms. In these forms, a very strong bond (chelation) exists between magnesium and the amino acid, allowing it to reach our intestines as a complete element. Amino acid chelated forms are therefore better absorbed and cause fewer gastrointestinal problems than other forms of magnesium.
Bonding with malic acid
For the Magnesium Junior chewable tablets, we've chosen magnesium malate. This is a compound of magnesium and malic acid. Malic acid plays a key role in the citric acid cycle, which is essential for energy metabolism. Because it's bound to malic acid, this form of magnesium also has a naturally pleasant taste. This makes malate the ideal choice for children.
Approved by test panel
If a supplement tastes bad, there's a good chance your child won't take it. That's why Magnesium Junior has been extensively tested by children aged 2 to 12. This highly critical test panel has been a key part of the chewable tablet development process.
Magnesium Junior comes in a cheerful bear shape, has a pleasant raspberry flavor, and is sweetened with natural sweeteners. The chewable tablets are free from unnecessary additives such as colors, flavors, fragrances, or preservatives. This means not only children love Magnesium Junior, but parents too!
Easy to dose
Dosing Magnesium Junior chewable tablets is easy. For children aged 1 to 6, 1 tablet per day is recommended, for children aged 6 to 12, 2 tablets, and for children aged 12 and older, 3 tablets. Is your child too young for a chewable tablet? Crush the supplement and mix it with your child's favorite drink.
