Vitakruid Glutazyme, including Digestive Enzymes and L-GlutamineSuperior enzyme profile
Vitakruid has endeavored to include a balanced team of many different enzymes in Glutazyme, an overview:
- Chymotrypsin is a serine endopeptidase (enzyme) produced by the acinar cells in the pancreas.
- Papain is a proteolytic enzyme extracted from the leaves and raw fruit of the papaya plant.
- Hemicellulase is primarily found in mushrooms.
- Pancreatin is a mixture of the digestive enzymes amylase, lipase, and protease, naturally produced in the pancreas.
- Trypsin is a serine protease present in the digestive system of many vertebrates.
- Bromelain has a supportive enzymatic action.
L-Glutamine
L-glutamine is a non-essential amino acid, meaning that the human body is capable of producing this amino acid independently. However, it can happen that glutamine synthesis is not sufficient to meet the body's needs. Therefore, glutamine is also referred to as a semi-essential amino acid. Within this digestive formula, L-glutamine ensures optimal synergistic action with the superior enzyme profile and the probiotic Lactospore® present in this product.
Lactospore®
Strain bacteria, the type present in Lactospore®, form spores that remain in the stomach and intestines, regardless of your dairy consumption. Therefore, the probiotics in Lactospore® cannot be compared to the probiotics you get from dairy products, as is often assumed.
Rutin
Rutin is a flavonoid belonging to the flavanol subgroup and has the property of supporting other nutrients in their function. It acts as a kind of enhancer for the other ingredients in the Glutazyme formula. In terms of structure, flavanol is very similar to quercetin. Rutin is stored in the cell's vacuole and, like many other flavonoids, is water-soluble.
Enzyme activity
When selecting a good enzyme supplement, you should not necessarily pay attention to the dosage of the different enzymes in the product, but to the so-called enzyme activity of the enzymes present. This may sound like an impossible task for a layperson, but even without further orthomolecular knowledge, a good enzyme product is easy to recognize.
