High dose vitamin C as calcium/magnesium ascorbate
An insurmountable problem with this nutrient: we are unable to produce it ourselves. Because of this, we are completely dependent on our diet for adequate vitamin C levels. Especially in our current busy lives, eating enough fruits and vegetables, the main source of vitamin C, is unfortunately often neglected. The antioxidants manganese, zinc and copper
In the Buffered Vitamin C formula, we've also included the trace elements manganese, zinc, and copper. These are so-called superoxide dismutase enzymes, also known as SOD. These oxidants are formed during oxidation in the mitochondria, the energy center of our cells.
Turbo for the other ingredients OPC
OPC is often used as a standalone supplement. This formula contains the same amount as similar preparations at a more affordable price. The main reason we've included this grape seed extract in Buffered Vitamin C is its ability to support the action of other nutrients in the formula. This nutrient acts as a kind of turbo!
The powerful nutrients L-glutathione and quercetin
Quercetin is a plant-derived flavonol, usually found in nature alongside vitamin C. This natural pigment is widespread throughout the plant kingdom and therefore also found in food. The outer skin of red onions, in particular, contains large amounts of quercetin.
This Buffered Vitamin C contains this flavonol along with L-glutathione. This is a tripeptide (a compound of three amino acids) that can be produced by the body in the liver from the amino acids cysteine, glutamine, and glycine. Together, quercetin and L-glutathione ensure an optimal synergistic effect!
