Shatavari
Shatavari has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for hundreds of years. Its effects are attributed to its roots. It is a true women's herb often compared to Yin, the symbol of feminine energy.

Shatavari is the number one adaptogen in women's formulas. Adaptogens are often associated with stress management. Research shows that it influences the stress hormone cortisol.

We've also incorporated a high-quality shatavari extract into our formula. Our extract is in a 10:1 ratio. This means 250 mg of our extract is equivalent to 2.5 g of raw product. Because of this, we consider this extract to be ten times more effective than powdered shatavari!

Maca
Yellow maca originates from Peru, where the plant grows only under specific conditions. However, in recent years, the herb has also been increasingly produced in China. These are usually unstandardized nutrients, meaning we don't know how much active ingredient these maca varieties contain. Therefore, we generally can't guarantee efficacy. The yellow Peruvian maca in Femme is made from the patented Maca-GO® and is standardized to 0.3% glucosinolates for guaranteed optimal efficacy.

In addition, the yellow Peruvian maca is grown under optimal conditions, which guarantees contamination levels that are well below the legal minimum.

Vitex agnus castus
Vitex agnus castus, also known as monk's pepper, is native to the Mediterranean, Central Asia, and North America. The herb has been used there for thousands of years.

Vitex agnus castus is mainly used for women's health.

Saffron (Affron®)
The high-quality saffron extract used in this formula is the patented Affron®. This nutrient developer uses only 100% genuine, top-quality saffron from controlled Spanish cultivation. Therefore, their saffron extract is standardized to 3.5% lepticrosalides, the active ingredients.

Improved absorption through the addition of piperine (Bioperine®)
Finally, we've added patented Bioperine® to the formula. This extract contains an impressive 95-98% piperine, the main component of black pepper. Bioperine® has been clinically tested, proving its high quality. We added it to Femme because research shows it improves the absorption of all the other herbal extracts present.
