Shatavari
Shatavari has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for hundreds of years. Its effects are attributed to its roots. It is a true women's herb, often compared to Yin, the symbol of feminine energy.
Shatavari is the number one adaptogen in women's formulas. Adaptogens are often associated with stress processing. Research shows that it influences the stress hormone cortisol.
Furthermore, we have incorporated a high-quality shatavari extract into our formula. Our extract has a ratio of 10:1. This means that 250 mg of our extract is equivalent to 2.5 grams of raw product. This makes this extract ten times more effective than shatavari in powder form!
Maca
Yellow maca originates from Peru, where the plant only grows under specific conditions. Nevertheless, the herb has been increasingly produced in China in recent years. These are usually unstandardized nutrients, which means we don't know how many active ingredients these maca variants contain. As a result, we generally cannot guarantee their efficacy. The yellow Peruvian maca in Femme is from the patented Maca-GO® and is standardized to 0.3% glucosinolates for guaranteed optimal effectiveness.
Additionally, the yellow Peruvian maca is cultivated under optimal conditions, ensuring contamination levels far below the legal minimum.
Vitex agnus castus
Vitex agnus castus, also known as chasteberry, is found in the Mediterranean region, Central Asia, and North America. There, the herb has been used for thousands of years.
Vitex agnus castus is primarily used for women's health.
Saffron (Affron®)
The high-quality saffron extract included in this formula is the patented Affron®. This nutrient developer only uses 100% genuine saffron of the best quality, from controlled Spanish cultivation. Therefore, their saffron extract is standardized to 3.5% lepticrosalides, the active ingredients.
Improved absorption through the addition of piperine (Bioperine®)
Finally, we have added the patented Bioperine® to the formula. This is an extract consisting of no less than 95-98% piperine, the main component of black pepper. Bioperine® has been clinically tested and thus proves its high quality. We have added this to Femme because research shows that it ensures better absorption of all other present herbal extracts.
