Vitakruid Elite Whey 50% Hydrolysate/50% Isolate VanillaProteins for athletes
Proteins are essential for our bodies and play a crucial role, especially for athletes. On average, the protein requirements of people who exercise are higher.
Proteins are made up of amino acids. Although our body can produce some amino acids itself, there are nine amino acids for which this is not the case. These are also called essential amino acids, and we must obtain them through our diet.
Proteins in food
Protein can be found in various foods, both from animal sources such as meat, fish, and dairy, and from plant-based sources such as beans, nuts, and grains.

Elite Whey – High protein content >86%
Elite Whey is a high-quality protein powder, with protein isolate and protein hydrolysate. Several steps are required to obtain these forms.
The first step in making Elite Whey is concentrating the whey. Liquid whey, which is a byproduct of cheese production, is first filtered. Then, we concentrate the whey by drying it. This process results in a rich, concentrated protein powder with a full and creamy taste, which serves as the basis for the next steps in the production of Elite Whey.
More than 90% pure Isolate
To obtain isolate, the concentrated whey is further filtered. During this step, fat, sugar, and lactose are almost completely removed, resulting in an extremely pure whey isolate. This isolate is characterized by a very high protein content, of at least 90%.
Most absorbable hydrolysate
To make hydrolysate, a special patented enzymatic hydrolysis process is applied. During this process, enzymes break down protein chains into smaller fragments, resulting in a more easily digestible protein powder and more efficient absorption by the body.
100% natural
Elite Whey is completely free of added sugars and synthetic flavorings. Instead, we use stevia, a natural sweetener derived from the leaves of the Stevia Rebaudiana plant. This plant is also known as honey herb.
This unique plant mainly grows in South America, particularly in Paraguay and Brazil, where it has been used as a sweetener by local people for centuries. Stevia is up to 450 times sweeter than sugar. This allows us to create a wonderfully mild, sweet taste with a very small amount, without having to add sugar.
Complete amino acid profile
Although all protein sources contain essential amino acids, the proportions in which they occur vary. Proteins with a complete amino acid profile have these amino acids in precisely the proportions your body needs.
Elite Whey Protein has a complete amino acid profile and therefore provides all essential amino acids in exactly the right proportions.
BCAAs in 2:1:1 ratio
Three of the essential amino acids deserve some extra attention: the BCAAs. Leucine, isoleucine, and valine stand out due to their branched structure, which gives them the name branched-chain amino acids. These amino acids are an important building block for protein synthesis. Therefore, we have added extra BCAAs to Elite Whey Protein, in addition to the BCAAs already present in the isolate-hydrolysate mix. One scoop therefore contains no less than 7.3 grams of BCAAs.
Added lactase helps with lactose digestion
Lactose is a sugar naturally present in milk. During cheese production, a large part of the lactose ends up in the whey. In our body, lactose is broken down by the enzyme lactase. When this enzyme is not produced or produced insufficiently, people may have difficulty tolerating lactose.
For people who have difficulty digesting lactose, lactase is needed to digest lactose. That is why we have added lactase to Elite Whey, which promotes the breakdown of lactose.
High enzyme activity
When using an enzyme, not only the quantity is relevant. The special thing about enzymes is that they are not used up in a reaction, but continue to work continuously. Therefore, it is also important to look at the activity of enzymes, whether and how much lactose they can break down and how quickly. The lactase in Elite Whey has an enzyme activity of 160,000 FCC/gram. This breaks down 97-100% of the lactose.
Added proteases
For the digestion of proteins, other enzymes are used in our body, which are also called proteases. These enzymes cut the long protein chains into smaller pieces.
Activity of 800 LAPU/g
A distinction is made here between endo- and exopeptidases. Endopeptidases cut in the middle of a protein chain, while exopeptidases can cut at the ends. We have added both variants to Elite Whey with a high enzyme activity of 800 LAPU/g or 8,000 PCU/g.
Elite Whey, Creatine & fruit
Do you want to get the most out of your workout? Combine Elite Whey with a creatine product and rapidly digestible carbohydrates, such as certain fruits. This mix ensures improved absorption of creatine, because carbohydrates and proteins cause an insulin spike that absorbs creatine into your muscles faster.
