Vitakruid Elite whey 50% hydrolyzate/50% isolate vanilla Proteins for athletes
Proteins are essential for our bodies and play a crucial role, especially for athletes. On average, people who exercise have a higher protein requirement.
Proteins are made up of amino acids. While our bodies can produce some amino acids themselves, there are nine amino acids that cannot. These are called essential amino acids and must be obtained from our diet.
Proteins in food
Protein is found in a variety of foods, both from animal sources such as meat, fish and dairy, and from plant sources such as beans, nuts and grains.

Elite Whey – High protein content >86%
Elite Whey is a high-quality protein powder, containing protein isolate and protein hydrolysate. Several steps are required to obtain these forms.
The first step in making Elite Whey is concentrating the whey. Liquid whey, a byproduct of cheesemaking, is first filtered. Then, we concentrate the whey by drying it. This process results in a rich, concentrated protein powder with a full and creamy flavor, which serves as the foundation for the next steps in Elite Whey production.
More than 90% pure isolate
To obtain isolate, the concentrated whey is further filtered. During this step, fat, sugar, and lactose are almost completely removed, resulting in an extremely pure whey isolate. This isolate is characterized by a very high protein content of at least 90%.
Best absorbable hydrolyzate
To produce hydrolysate, a special patented enzymatic hydrolysis process is used. During this process, enzymes break down the protein chains into smaller fragments, resulting in a more easily digestible protein powder and more efficient absorption by the body.
100% natural
Elite Whey is completely free of added sugars and synthetic flavors. Instead, we use stevia, a natural sweetener derived from the leaves of the Stevia Rebaudiana plant. This plant is also known as honeywort.
This unique plant grows primarily in South America, particularly in Paraguay and Brazil, where it has been used by locals for centuries as a sweetener. Stevia is up to 450 times sweeter than sugar. This allows us to create a wonderfully mild, sweet flavor with a very small amount, without having to add sugar.
Complete amino acid profile
While all protein sources contain essential amino acids, the ratios vary. Proteins with a complete amino acid profile have these amino acids in precisely the ratios your body needs.
Elite Whey Protein has a complete amino acid profile and therefore provides all essential amino acids in exactly the right proportions.
BCAAs in a 2:1:1 ratio
Three of the essential amino acids deserve some extra attention: the BCAAs. Leucine, isoleucine, and valine are notable for their branched structure, earning them the name "branched chain amino acids." These amino acids are a key building block for protein synthesis. That's why we've added extra BCAAs to Elite Whey Protein, in addition to the BCAAs already contained in the isolate-hydrolysate mix. One scoop therefore contains a whopping 7.3 grams of BCAAs.
Added lactase helps with lactose digestion
Lactose is a sugar naturally present in milk. During cheese production, a large portion of the lactose ends up in the whey. In our bodies, lactose is broken down by the enzyme lactase. When this enzyme is not produced or is insufficiently produced, people have a lower tolerance to lactose.
For people who have difficulty digesting lactose, lactase is essential. That's why we've added lactase to Elite Whey, which promotes the breakdown of lactose.
High enzyme activity
When using an enzyme, it's not just the quantity that matters. The unique thing about enzymes is that they aren't used up during a reaction, but continue to work continuously. Therefore, it's also important to consider the activity of enzymes, whether and how much lactose they can break down, and how quickly. The lactase in Elite Whey has an enzyme activity of 160,000 FCC/gram. This allows 97-100% of the lactose to be broken down.
Added proteases
Our bodies use other enzymes to digest proteins, also called proteases. These enzymes break down long protein chains into smaller pieces.
Activity of 800 LAPU/g
A distinction is made here between endo- and exopeptidases. Endopeptidases cut in the middle of a protein chain, while exopeptidases can cut at the ends. We've added both variants to Elite Whey, each with a high enzyme activity of 800 LAPU/g or 8,000 PCU/g.
Elite Whey, Creatine & Fruit
Want to get the most out of your workout? Combine Elite Whey with a creatine product and easily digestible carbohydrates, such as certain fruits. This mix improves creatine absorption because the carbohydrates and proteins trigger an insulin spike that accelerates the creatine absorption into your muscles.
- Proteins to maintain strong bones
- Proteins play a role in bone formation
- Proteins for more muscle building and muscle strength
- Proteins, for muscle recovery after physical exertion
