Vitamin B11—also known as folic acid—is found primarily in green vegetables. Spinach, Brussels sprouts, and broccoli are the richest sources, but eggs, whole-wheat bread, and various types of meat also contain significant amounts of folic acid.

Folate is the biologically active form of folic acid
Folic acid is the synthetic form of vitamin B11. Folate is the so-called bioavailable or active form of folic acid and therefore much more easily absorbed. Before our bodies can absorb folic acid, it must go through two conversion processes. First, from folic acid to dihydrofolate (DHF), then to tetrahydrofolate (THF), and finally to folate (5-MTHF). When you take folate in a supplement, it is immediately available to our bodies and therefore much more effective!
Quatrefolic®, the fourth generation of folate
Quatrefolic®, also known as fourth-generation folate, offers superior bioavailability compared to other forms of folate. Vitakruid guarantees stability by binding to glucosamine salt instead of calcium salt (third-generation folate).
