Folate is the biologically active form of folic acid
Folic acid is the synthetic form of vitamin B11. Folate is the so-called biologically available or active form of folic acid and therefore much better absorbed. Before our body can absorb folic acid, it must undergo two conversion processes. First from folic acid to dihydrofolate (DHF), then to tetrahydrofolate (THF) and only then become folate (5-MTHF). When you take folate in a supplement, it is immediately available to our body and therefore much more effective!
Quatrefolic®, the fourth generation of folate
Quatrefolic®, also called the fourth generation of folate, has superior bioavailability compared to other forms of folate. Vitakruid guarantees stability by binding with glucosamine salt instead of calcium salt (the third generation of folate). The combination with glucosamine salt makes the nutrient more stable in the stomach and intestinal tract, resulting in better absorption of the folate (5-MTHF).
Because Quatrefolic® is the already converted form of 5-MTHF bound to calcium salt, the body does not need further auxiliary nutrients to experience the effect of folic acid. The number one folate form worldwide!
User-friendly due to small tablet
The Active Folic Acid tablets are extremely small. We are talking about a diameter of only nine millimeters, an average weight of 160 milligrams and a thickness of around three millimeters. Swallowing several tablets at once should therefore not be a problem at all!
