This classic balm—named after our former warehouse, De Hoop, on the Botermarkt in Haarlem—is packed with essential oils with warming properties. It's one of our oldest products, purely natural and no-nonsense. Balm van de Hoop is a pleasant muscle balm for tight, tired, and cold muscles. As a chest balm, it's soothing for your airways, allowing you to breathe more freely. You can also use it in a steam bath. In winter, it's especially helpful for cold hands and feet.

Beautiful ingredients
The base for this versatile balm is a combination of castor oil, Japanese berry wax, sunflower wax, sal butter, vitamins C and E. We've added refreshing menthol and the nourishing essential oils of wintergreen, eucalyptus, camphor, star anise, cinnamon, marjoram, juniper berry, and lavender. A perfect symphony of scents.

Applications

Usage
Apply and rub in the balm several times a day.
Apply to the chest and back to breathe more freely.
As a steam bath: add a pinch of balm to a bowl of boiling water and steam.

Storage advice
Store closed, dry and at room temperature.
