Genmai mochi kibi
Mochi is a very popular food in Japan, traditionally eaten on New Year's Day, among other occasions. It also has various uses, such as ozouni (mochi in vegetable soup), yaki-mochi (fried mochi), and kinako mochi (made with soy flour). Whole-rice mochi is made entirely with sweet brown rice, a staple of macrobiotic cuisine.
