Native to India and Nepal, vetiver is used in numerous ways here: in household products, in food and drink, and even to protect the landscape from erosion during the monsoon season.

Vetiveria zizanoides is a grass species with long, thin leaves. The plant has a strong, deep, and complex root system. Vetiver essential oil is extracted from the plant's roots by steam distillation. This produces a thick, earthy oil sometimes called the "oil of tranquility."

Vetiver's calming effect makes it a perfect addition to aromatherapy blends aimed at soothing and relaxing the body and mind.
The oil is particularly good as part of nighttime blends. Try using it in a vaporizer mix for an aroma lamp or diffuser and apply it before bed.

NB:
Most essential oils are very easy to drip. Vetiver oil, however, is an exception; it is naturally very viscous.
Therefore, dripping is only possible after gradually warming the bottle in a bowl of warm (not hot) water. Repeat as often as necessary.
Or keep it in your pocket. Body heat will gradually make the oil more fluid.

Usage
Massage: Add 5 drops of essential oil to 10 ml of base oil.
Bath: Add 4 drops of oil to 20 ml of base oil and add to running water.
Diffusion: Add 6-8 drops to the diffuser or burner.
