What is this medicine used for?
This test is used to detect elevated PSA levels in the blood. PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) is a protein produced by the prostate. Elevated PSA levels may indicate:

Prostate enlargement (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia - BPH)
Prostate inflammation (Prostatitis)
Prostate cancer
An elevated PSA level does not automatically mean prostate cancer, but it may be an indication for further medical investigation.

Directions for use
Preparation
Open the sealed packaging and place the test cassette on a clean, dry surface.
Massage your fingertip and clean it with the included alcohol wipe.

Blood collection
Use the automatic sterile lancet to obtain a small drop of blood.
Use the pipette to draw the blood and place one drop of blood into the test cassette.

Test execution
Add three drops of buffer solution to the test cassette.
Wait 10-15 minutes and read the result.

When should the PSA test not be performed?
After cycling or ergometry: Wait 24 hours
After ejaculation: Wait 24 hours
After prostate massage: Wait 2-3 days
After transrectal ultrasound: Wait 2-3 days
After cystoscopy: Wait 1 week
After a transurethral resection or prostate biopsy: Wait 4-6 weeks
