Usage
As with any saliva test, the proper functioning of the test and obtaining an accurate determination depend on correct test execution. It is known that the use of Cannabis (THC products) and products containing MDMA (XTC), in particular, can reduce saliva production. The viscosity or fluidity of the saliva then decreases, as does the production of the saliva itself. The person being tested then has an extremely dry mouth. If this is the case, an accurate determination cannot be made, and the test (identifiable by the absence of the Control Line) cannot be performed correctly. In this situation, have the test subject drink several glasses of water and wait 30 minutes before performing a new test.
