Springfield EGCG-50+ green tea extract Springfield EGCG-50+ green tea extract
Of all tea types, green tea contains the highest percentage of polyphenols. These polyphenols consist of six different catechins. The most important are epicatechin, epicatechin-3-gallate, epigallocatechin, and especially epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG). EGCG is the most active polyphenol in green tea and the most studied.
Green tea contributes to the protection of cells and tissues from oxidative damage*.
The combination of EGCG with other catechins enhances the protective effect* of green tea.
