D3-Vegan-75 is completely plant-based and contains vitamin D3 derived from algae. D3-Vegan is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Vitamin D3 in dietary supplements is almost always derived from sheep's wool fat. This source is suitable for vegetarians, but not for vegans. Dietary supplements containing plant-based vitamin D2 are also available, but research shows that vitamin D3 significantly increases blood vitamin D concentrations.
The vitamin D3 in D3-Vegan comes from algae and is identical to that in the commonly used sheep's wool fat.
Vitamin D is fat-soluble. It is best absorbed in the intestines when fat or oil is also present. Taking it immediately after a hot meal is recommended.
