Quercetin is a flavonoid found in foods such as onions, apples, berries, tea, and red wine. It is also found in various herbs, including Ginkgo biloba, St. John's wort (Hypericum perforatum), and American elder (Sambucus canadensis).
Resveratrol is a polyphenol, found in various plant species, but especially in the skin of blue grapes.
Turmeric (Curcuma Longa) is one of the most important herbs and is also called 'Geelwortel' (yellow root) in the Netherlands.
It is responsible for the color in curry and mustard.
Alfalfa, also called lucerne or Medicago sativa, consists of Alkaloids (asparagine, trigonelline), Coumarin, Vitamins, Minerals, Phytoestrogens (formononetin, coumestrol), Proteins including canavanine (amino acid) and Enzymes.
Pomegranate contains many polyphenols, including the active ingredient ellagic acid.
