Dandelions are very common. In April, they can colour entire meadows yellow. However, this does not mean that certain micro-species and sections cannot be rare. Dandelions originate from Africa, Asia, and Europe and have been spread by humans to many other places.
In the Netherlands, at least 250 micro-species are known.
