HighQuality 5-HTP Plus contains 5-hydroxytryptophan in a bio-effective form derived from the natural shrub Griffonia simplicifolia. 5-HTP is a safe precursor to serotonin. This supplement also contains the other nutrients necessary for the conversion of 5-HTP to serotonin, including magnesium and vitamin B6.
5-HTP is an amino acid that forms the intermediate step between tryptophan and the important neurotransmitter serotonin. There is ample evidence that low serotonin levels are a normal consequence of modern life.
