In Transylvania (formerly part of the Kingdom of Hungary and now a province of Romania) there are enormous rocks with salt mines containing unique Halit salt rock crystals. The first mining operations began in 1567, the Jozsef mine opened in 1762, and it wasn't until 1960 that the first Speleotherapy was opened in the Doja mine. The Halit salt rock is millions of years old and contains, among other things, NaCl, Mg, and Calcium. The special, salty air cleanses the entire respiratory system and allows the mucous membranes to rest because the hygroscopic action of the Halit salt is optimally active. Swelling in the bronchi is also reduced.

Because the salt mines in Praid are visited by more than 250,000 people annually, a Hungarian professor designed a unique product at the beginning of this century to bring those pure salt crystals directly to the patient. That product became the SaltPipe ™ Classic salt inhaler and more recently the Mini SaltPipe.

Since 2009, SaltPipe ™ products have been available in the Netherlands. Everyone with the aforementioned respiratory problems can now have mobile salt therapy available every day and everywhere via these SaltPipes™. The inhaler resembles a small pipe and contains, between the 2 porcelain filters, enough Halit salt and minerals for 5 years of use (the porcelain version). The Mini SaltPipe contains less Halit salt, is made of plastic, and can be used for 3 - 6 months. The Mini SaltPipe is more intended for trying out the product before purchasing the porcelain version, as it is much more economical to use per day, namely 2 cents per day.

Cleansing of the respiratory system.

Instructions for use
Use regularly for a few minutes daily (max. 15 - 25 minutes) Place the mouthpiece of the inhaler in the mouth and inhale evenly through the mouth and exhale exclusively through the nose. Strained breathing is not recommended. DO NOT exhale through the inhaler.
