Usage Ingredients: Batter, baking mix, 200 grams of soft margarine or butter, 3 eggs, 1 tablespoon of water, a small amount of starch for the baking tin.
Prepare batter
Place the baking mix, margarine, water and eggs in a mixing bowl and beat until creamy using an electric mixer, first on the lowest setting and then on the highest setting, for 3 minutes.
Grease and flour a 25cm rectangular baking tin and spoon in 2/3 of the batter. Stir the cocoa mixture and 1 tablespoon of water into the remaining batter and spoon it over the lightened batter. Run a fork through both sides of the batter in a spiral motion. Bake the cake in the middle of a preheated oven for approximately 60 minutes. Before removing the cake from the oven, test it with a wooden skewer to see if it is done.
After baking, remove the cake from the tin and let it cool on a wire rack.
Baking time and temperature: Top and bottom heat approx. 180°C*
Gas oven setting 3, fan oven approx. 160° - baking time approx. 60 min.
