What is gemmotherapy? Gemmotherapy is the youngest branch of phytotherapy. It uses the buds, shoots, germs, and root fibers or embryonic tissues of plants. These embryonic tissues contain all the properties (both biochemical and energetic) of the future complete plant (including fruits, flowers, leaves, stems, roots, etc.) and can be used to support and optimize our health. Gemmotherapy is a holistic approach. This means that it works on the physical and energetic levels as well as on the psychological and emotional levels.
The founder of gemmotherapy is the Belgian physician Dr. Pol Henry. In the 1960s, he researched the therapeutic properties of embryonic plant cells, following the research of his colleague Dr. Niehans on the medicinal use of animal embryonic cells. This led to "phyto-embryotherapy," and he later published his initial findings in the book "Phytembryothérapie."
In the 1980s, the French physician Dr. Max Tétau, together with several other European physicians, began the further development of phyto-embryotherapy. He gave it the definitive name "gemmotherapy" after the Latin word gemma, which means both "bud" and "gem."

Usage
