Purasana Krill oil Krill oil is extracted from Euphrasia superba (krill), a small, shrimp-like crustacean. Krill feed on omega-3-rich algae.
The Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) ensures that only a tiny fraction of the total mass (<2%) of the permitted harvest is used, so that krill remains abundantly available for animals and humans. NKO™ krill oil is produced using a cold extraction method that maximizes and preserves the bioactive properties. Thanks to this process, NKO™ contains no heavy metals, PCBs, dioxins, or pesticides. It is preservative-free.
