Ester-C®
Ester-C® Bio is gentler on the stomach than regular vitamin C. It also remains active in the body longer and is absorbed faster and better. Ester-C® Bio is bound to calcium. This means
It contains a pH-neutral form of vitamin C, which prevents irritation. Ester-C® Bio is immediately fat-soluble. This means the body can utilize this vitamin immediately. Regular vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is only water-soluble and therefore takes longer: the body must first convert the vitamin into a fat-soluble substance.
CAVAQ10®
Proviform uses CAVAQ10® for its high bioavailability. A 50 mg dose of CAVAQ10® is comparable to 180 mg of regular ubiquinone, resulting in a 3.6x greater effectiveness. CAVAQ10® is naturally derived, as are the excipients used.
CAVAQ10® is a highly bioavailable coenzyme Q10 powder with improved water dispersibility. Coenzyme Q10 itself is not soluble in water and has a lower bioavailability. CAVAQ10® offers an excellent solution for increasing bioavailability by using plant-based cyclodextrins. Cyclodextrins can ensure that certain substances dissolve in water. This is because the molecules of those substances "nest" in the hollows of so-called pockets, creating a water-soluble complex.
Lutein
Lutein is highly concentrated in the macula of the eye, as well as in the retina, lens, and optic nerve. Lutein belongs to a class of carotenoids known as xanthophylls, which are found in brightly colored fruits and vegetables. Xanthophylls act as natural sunscreens in plants, protecting them from the damaging effects of excessive light. These xanthophylls form the macular pigment with the highest density in the macula lutea.
The human body cannot produce lutein itself, which means we must get it from our diet or supplements.
