Ester-C® Bio is gentler on the stomach than regular vitamin C. It also remains active longer in the body and is absorbed faster and better. Ester-C® Bio is bound to calcium, resulting in a pH-neutral form of vitamin C, which prevents irritation. Ester-C® Bio is immediately fat-soluble, allowing the body to use this vitamin directly. Regular vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is only water-soluble and therefore requires more time: the body must first convert the vitamin into a fat-soluble substance.
