Calcium citrate in capsules is almost never produced. This is because for every 150 mg of elemental calcium, as in Proviform calcium citrate capsules, more than 700 mg of calcium citrate is needed. To increase the amount of elemental calcium, tablets are made. These are often large and not always easy for everyone to swallow. Therefore, Proviform offers calcium citrate in both capsule and tablet form. The capsules have the advantage of being easy to swallow and containing only rice extract as an excipient. In addition, vegetarian pullulan capsules are used, which provide additional protection for the ingredients. Proviform calcium citrate contains 5 mcg of natural vitamin D3 per capsule for good calcium absorption.
Proviform nutritional supplements are 100% gluten-free and contain no artificial flavourings, colours or preservatives.
