Allergy warning test (patch test)
Perform before each colouring treatment; allergies can develop suddenly, even if you have previously used a colouring product from this or another brand.
Colouring products can cause an allergic reaction, which in rare cases can be severe. To help prevent the risk of an allergic reaction, it is therefore necessary to observe the following precautions:
- Temporary black henna tattoos can increase the risk of an allergic reaction.
- Do not colour hair if:
* you have a rash on your face or a sensitive, irritated, or damaged scalp.
* you have previously experienced a reaction after hair colouring.
* you have previously experienced a reaction after a temporary black henna tattoo.
Performing the sensitivity test (48 hours before treatment)
- Remove earrings. Apply enough unmixed colour product (colour cream tube) to a cotton swab. Carefully reseal the packaging to use it for the colouring treatment after these 48 hours.
- Apply enough unmixed colour product behind the ear with the cotton swab to an area the size of a euro cent (1 - 2 cm).
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 in the same way for the anti-yellow conditioner.
- Wait 48 hours without washing, covering, or touching.
If a reaction, such as itching, red spots, or swelling of the test area, is observed during this period, do not use this colouring product.
In case of a reaction during application, such as severe tingling, skin irritation, rash, or a burning sensation on the scalp, rinse immediately and discontinue use. If breathing difficulties occur, seek immediate medical attention. It is advisable to consult a doctor before using a colouring product again.
Keep out of reach of children.
Avoid contact of the product with skin and eyes. Do not use for dyeing eyelashes and eyebrows.
In case of contact of the product with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Contact lens wearers: if possible, remove contact lenses first before rinsing the eyes.
Wear enclosed gloves.
Prepare and apply the product in a well-ventilated area.
Do not inhale or ingest.
If you have any questions about your individual (over)sensitivity, consult a doctor.
Do not use for colouring beards or moustaches or for any use other than colouring head hair. Avoid any unnecessary contact with the skin.
Wait at least 15 days after a perm or treatment with a permanent straightening product before colouring.
Do not use on hair coloured with henna or a progressive dye.
