The richest sources of vitamin K1 include kale, spinach, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, green cabbage, and other dark green leafy vegetables. The name "phylloquinone" refers to the fact that it is a natural form of vitamin K found in plants (the Greek word "phyto" means "plant").
Although vitamin K1 occurs naturally in various foods, some people may develop a deficiency in this vitamin, especially those with poor absorption (e.g., due to digestive disorders) or insufficient intake of vitamin K-rich foods. In such cases, supplementation with vitamin K1 may be necessary to prevent deficiencies.

Usage
