Nova Vitae Vitamin D3 1000IE/25mcg vegan Nova Vitae was the first to develop an absolutely natural, plant-based and vegan vitamin D3.
First, the active ingredient, vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol), is produced from algae.
Since Vitamin D3 is a fat-soluble vitamin, and functions as such in the body, it makes sense to provide this vitamin D3 in fat form.
Sunflower oil was chosen because the production of this oil has the least impact on the environment.
The capsule resembles a gelatin softgel, but through a unique, still relatively unknown production process, it is possible to produce a completely vegetable capsule using Tapioca starch, also known as Cassava, vegetable glycerine* and water.
One would expect that these new developments would come with a significant price tag, but it is precisely because of their simplicity that quality has become affordable.

Safe dosage:
The Health Council already adjusted the safe standards for the use of vitamin D3 in 2012.
For now, 25 mcg is a safe dosage for all ages from the age of 10.
Possible higher doses depend on skin colour, sufficient or insufficient exposure to sunlight and whether a veil or covering clothing is worn.
You can always ask your GP for a blood test to check your vitamin D levels and adjust your dosage accordingly if necessary.
