Vegetarians and vegans often have a lower dietary intake of omega-3 fatty acids in the form of EPA and DHA.
After all, fish is the richest source of the important unsaturated fatty acids EPA and DHA.
In principle, the body can produce EPA and DHA itself from alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which is also found in vegetable oils (such as flaxseed oil).
However, in practice, this conversion is very difficult, and a sufficiently high intake of ready-made EPA and/or DHA from food remains important.
Vegan Omega 3 500 mg provides 150 mg DHA from the microalgae Schizochytrium in a vegetarian capsule.
The product is especially suitable for vegetarians and vegans, and for people who do not wish to use fish oil supplements for other reasons.

Authorised health claims: - DHA supports brain function and vision in adults with a daily intake of 250 mg DHA - additional intake of 200 mg DHA by the mother, in addition to the recommended daily amount of 250 mg EPA and DHA, contributes to the normal development of the eyes and brain in the foetus and in breastfed infants

Use
