This saffron extract is obtained from the stigma of the saffron crocus (Crocus sativus).
The most important phytotherapeutic, active ingredients are crocin and crocetin (carotenoids) and safranal.
These three substances are natural end products that are formed after the processing of nutrients for the Crocus itself and are ultimately found in the stigma of the flower.
In addition to these specific phytotherapeutic substances, saffron contains, among other things, vitamins, minerals, carotenoids and even bioflavonoids such as the well-known quercetin.
These other “ingredients” are present but in very low dosages.
Nova Vitae Saffron extract is guaranteed free from gluten, yeast, milk and milk products, soy, artificial colours, flavours and sweeteners and preservatives.
