Nova Vitae Omega 3 algae oil DHA
Nova Vitae has developed an absolute, natural, plant-based and vegan Omega 3 Algal Oil with a standardized amount of 200 mg DHA per capsule.
The amount of DHA (200 mg) comes from 500 mg of algal oil.
The capsule resembles a gelatin softgel capsule, but through a unique, still relatively unknown production process, it is possible to produce a completely vegetable capsule using Tapioca (starch) flour, also known as Cassava, vegetable glycerine* and water.
One would expect that these new developments would come with a significant price tag, but it is precisely because of their simplicity that quality has become affordable.
* The vegetable glycerine comes from sustainably produced palm oil.
This product is guaranteed free from: gluten, eggs, milk and/or dairy products (lactose), soy, fish and/or fish products, shellfish, celery, mustard, peanuts and nuts, sesame seeds, preservatives and synthetic fragrances, colours and flavours.
This product is suitable for both vegetarians and vegans.

Child Claims:
- Maternal DHA intake contributes to the normal development of the eyes of the foetus and breastfed infants (with a daily intake of at least 200 mg DHA)
- DHA intake contributes to the normal development of vision in infants up to 12 months of age (with a daily intake of 100 mg DHA)
- Maternal DHA intake is an important building block for the brain of the foetus and breastfed infants (with a daily maternal intake of at least 200 mg DHA)
Standard claims:
- DHA intake contributes to the maintenance of normal vision (with a daily intake of 250 mg DHA)
- DHA intake contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function (with a daily intake of 250 mg DHA)
- DHA intake contributes to the maintenance of normal blood lipid levels (this effect is achieved with a daily intake of 2 grams of DHA, whereby the daily intake of EPA and DHA should not exceed 5 grams).
